Starting with Resilio Connect v3.8.0 there's option to duplicate one of the existing jobs in the MC. Duplicating a job allows to quickly create new jobs in cases when they are not very different in configuration. So instead of creating a new job from scratch, it's possible to create a job duplicate and adjust some of the configuration as needed.
The functionality is only available in MC UI. It's not available through API.
Navigate to the job table and select the job to duplicate. MC users who don't have permission to "Create new jobs" will not have the option to create duplicates as well.
Before proceeding give the new job some name. There is a checkbox "Also duplicate job paths".
If selected, don't forget to update paths as well, otherwise agents will conflict on the service folder ID file and synchronization will break.
If not selected, admin will need to give the new paths to all the Agents and Groups in the job.
Once you have configured the job name and the duplication options, click the "Duplicate" button.
The Job creation wizard will open, and all other job settings from the selected job will be pre-filled. Go through the wizard tabs and adjust the settings as needed. Save the job.
What is duplicated and what is not?
Job errors specific to the original job will not be duplicated.
Mail notifications and webhooks will be duplicated as well. The newly created job will be included in "All jobs" emails.
User access will be inherited from the original job for user groups. If a group had "View only" access to the original job, it will have the same access to the cloned job.
The configuration for aborting job runs will not be duplicated unless the Admin has "Abort all new job runs" selected.
The configuration for ignoring job errors will not be duplicated unless the Admin has "Ignore the error for all new jobs" selected.
